WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 18th day of November, 1963, pass and adopt Resolution No. 63-113, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN- TION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PARCEL OF LAND ACQUIRED FOR TEE OPENING OF ELDEN AVENUE; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed Vacation was set for Monday, the 16th day of December, 1963, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California; and WHEREAS, notices of said proposed vacation were duly and regularly posted as required by law, all pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, all persons appearing on the proposed vacation were heard, and said hearing was closed on the 16th day of December, 1963; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines, from all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the hereinafter described right of way is unnecessary for present or prospective street or alley purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following described right of way, be, and the same is hereby, vacated: That portion of the northwesterly 50.00 feet of the southwesterly 66.03 feet of Lot 272 of Newport Heights, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Hook 4, page 83, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, described as lying southerly and southeasterly of and adjoining a strip of land 25.00 feet in width, the northerly and northwesterly line of which is the center line of Elden Avenue, as described in that deed from Eunice L. Newsome to the City of Costa Mesa, recorded October 19, 1960, in Book 471, page 47 of Official Records of Orange County, California, and described as beginning at a point in the northwesterly line of Lot 262 of Newport Heights, 140.08 feet southwesterly of the most northerly corner of said lot; thence northeasterly 109.90 feet along the northwesterly line of said 114 lot to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave southeasterly, having a radius of 150.00 feet, thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 230 33' 23", a distance of 61.67 feet to the beginning of a tangent reverse curve, concave north- westerly, having a radius of 150.00 feet• thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 23b 33' 23", a distance of 61.67 feet to a point 25.00 feet, measured at right angles, south- easterly of the northwesterly line of Lot 272 and 89.72 feet, measured at right angles, northeasterly of the southwesterly line of Lot 272.
