A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING AND DETERMINING
THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES IN
THE PERFORMANCE OF PUBLIC WORKS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa is
required to find and determine the general prevailing rate of
per diem wages for the construction and performance of public
works; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa,
acting as Supervising Authority of the Costa Mesa Recreation
and Park District, and thereby is the designated agency for
adopting wage scales for the performance of public works for
said District, and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa, by Joint Powers Agreement,
has the management control of the operations of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District, including the awarding of contracts for the
performance of public works, and thereby is the designated
agency for adopting wage scales for the performance of public
works for said District, and
WHEREAS, said general prevailing rates of per diem wages
are set forth in the document entitled "WAGE SCALES FOR THE
SIX BASIC TRADES, JULY 1, 1963," and further set forth in a
document entitled "SUB -TRADES HOURLY WAGE RATES OF BUILDING
AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES UNIONS," prepared and submitted by the
Building and Construction Trades Council of Orange County,
California, said documents being attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest
of the City, and within the requirements of the Labor Code of
the State of California, that said wage scales be adopted by
reference;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Costa Mesa, that "WAGE SCALES FOR THE SIX BASIC
TRADES, JULY 1, 1963," and "SUB -TRADES HOURLY WAGE RATES OF
BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES UNIONS," as prepared by the

Building and Construction Trades Council of Orange County,
copies of said documents being attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof, be, and the same are hereby
found and determined to be the general prevailing rates of
per diem wages for the performance of public works; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said wage scales are hereby
adopted by reference as the general prevailing rates of per
diem wages in the performance of public works for the City
of Costa Mesa, the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District,
and the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February, 1964.

I, C. K. PRIEST, City Clerk and ex -officio Clerk of the
City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, do hereby certify that
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa, California, held on the 17th day of February, 1964, the
foregoing Resolution No. 64-12, was considered section by
section, and that said Resolution was then passed and adopted
as a whole by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Meyers, Smith, Wilson, Pinkley and Jordan
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
