RESOLUTION NO. 64-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF GISLER AVENUE IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa
does hereby declare its intention to vacate that certain right
of way for street purposes described as follows:
PARCEL A
A parcel of land, 10.00 feet in width, lying
within Gisler Avenue, 60.00 feet in width,
as shown on a map of Tract No. 4608 in the
City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of
California, recorded in Book 175, pages and
4 of Miscellaneous Records of Orange County,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly
line of Smalley Street with the southerly line
of Gisler Avenue as said intersection is shown
on said Tract No. 4608; thence North 00 21' 48"
East, 10.00 feet; thence South 89° 12' 02" East,
75.82 feet along a line parallel with and 20.00
feet southerly of, measured at right angles, the
center line of said Gisler Avenue; thence South
0° 56' 15" West, 10.00 feet to the south line of
said Gisler Avenue; thence North 89° 12' 02"

PARCEL B
A parcel of land, 10.00 feet in width, lying
within Gisler Avenue, 60.00 feet in width,
as shown on a map of Tract No. 4608 in the
City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State
of California, as per map recorded in Book
175, pages 3 and 4 of Miscellaneous Records
of Orange County, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly
line of Smalley Street and the southerly line
of Gisler Avenue as shown on said Tract No.
4608; thence South 89° 12' 02" East, 85.82
feet to the true point of beginning; thence
North 0° 56' 15" East 10.00 feet; thence
South 89" 12' 02" East, 305.00 feet along a
line parallel with and 20.00 feet southerly
of, measured at right angles, the center line
of said Gisler Avenue; thence South 00 56' 15"
West, 10.00 feet to the south line of said
Gisler Avenue; thence North 89' 12' 02" West,
along said south line, 305.00 feet to the
true point of beginning.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 16th day of March, 1964, at the hour

of 7:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa
City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, is
hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant
to the provisions of Chapter II, Part 3, Division 9, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is
hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation
to be conspicuously posted along said strip of land for at least
ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices
shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart,
but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted.
SECTION S. This Resolution shall be published in the
ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation
printed in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of
California, one time.

hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution No. 64-16
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Costa Mesa at a regular meeting thereof held on the
17th day of February, 1964.
