A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF LOT 503, NEWPORT MESA TRACT, IN THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate that certain right of way for street purposes
described as follows:
A portion of the westerly 66.00 feet of the easterly 378 feet of
Lot 503, Newport Mesa Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Miscellaneous Flips, Book 5, page 1, records of Orange County,
California, described as:
The southerly 30.00 feet of the above described portion of said
Lot 503•
SECTION 2. Monday, the 20th day of April, 1964, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa City Hall, 695 West
19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the
provisions of Chapter II, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby
directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously
posted along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date
of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred
(300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted.
SECTION 5• This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE
COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City
of Costa Was, County of Orange, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1964.
