HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-79 - Commending Third Annual Hope Bowl Football Game274 REsoLUTIGN No. 64-79 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, COMMENDING THE THIRD ANNUAL HOPE BOWL FOOTBALL GAME AT ORANGE COAST COLLEGE AND URGING CITY-WIDE PUBLIC SUPPORT. WHEREAS, the third annual Hope Bowl Football Game will be played on the 13th day of September, 1964, in the stadium at Orange Coast College, for the benefit of the March of Dimes and Pop Warner Football; and WHEREAS, the McKenzie RAIDERS of Costa Mesa will clash in classic competition with the ORANGE COUNTY RHINOS on this eventful date, thereby assuring spectacular sport for all who attend; and WHEREAS, all proceeds of the game will go to the March of Dimes and for the support of Pop Warner Football; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that the third annual Hope Bowl Football Game is hereby commended and approved as a civic enterprise in the best interest of the City of Costa Mesa, and the City of Costa Mesa will be happy to host this event; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Orange County Chapter, March of Dimes.
