HomeMy WebLinkAbout64-94 - Intent to Vacate Portion of Harbor BoulevardRESOLUTION NO. 64-94 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF HARBOR BOULEVARD LYING BETWEEN ABANDONED SPRUCE AVENUE AND ABANDONED WHITE OAK AVENUE. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate that certain right of way for street purposes described as follows: That portion of Block 3 of Cimm<ing's and Moons Addition to Fairview, as per map recorded in Book 26, page 2, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, in the City of Costa Mesa, State of California, more particularly described as follows: PARCEL NO. 1. Beginning at a point in the southerly line of Spruce Avenue as shown on said Cummings and Moons Addition to Fairview, said point being South 890 54' 20" East, 60.00 feet, from the intersection of the westerly prolongation of the southerly line of said Spruce Avenue with the center line of said Harbor Boulevard (formerly Fairview Avenue); thence South 890 54' 20" East along said southerly line of Spruce Avenue, 15.00 feet; thence South 00 05' 40" West along a line parallel with and 75.00 feet easterly of the center line of said Harbor Boulevard, 149.79 feet; thence North 440 54' 20" West, 21.21 feet to a line parallel with and 60.00 feet easterly of said Harbor Boulevard; thence North 00 05' 40" East along said parallel line, 134.79 feet to the point of beginning. PARCEL NO. 2. Beginning at a point in the southerly line of White Oak Avenue as shown on said Cumming's and Moons Addition to Fairview, said point being South 890 54' 20" East, 60.00 feet from the intersection of the westerly prolongation of the southerly line of said White Dark Avenue with the center line of said Harbor Bouk vard (formerly Fairview Avenue); thence South 890 54' 20" East along the southerly line of said White Oak Avenue, 15.00 feet; thence North 00 05' 40" East along a line parallel with and 75.00 feet easterly of the center line of said Harbor Boulevard, 136.21 feet; thence South 450 05' 40" West, 21.21 feet to a line parallel with and 60.00 feet easterly of said Harbor Boulevard; thence South 00 05' 40" West along said parallel line, 121.21 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. Monday, the 2nd day of November, 1964, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa City Hall, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3• The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notice of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strips of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
