RESOLUTION N0. 64-119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN CERTAIN PUBLIC EASEMENTS NORTHERLY
OF GISLER AVENUE (ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 12) IN SAID CITY,
AS DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0. 64-45.
sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and improvement described in
Resolution of Intention No. 64-45 which Resolution of Intention is hereby ex-
pressly referred to for a description of said work and improvement and for all
particulars relative to the proceedings under said Resolution of Intention.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby rejects
all of said proposals or bids except that herein mentioned and hereby awards
the contract for doing said work and improvement to the lowest responsible
bidder, to wit: Belczak and Goudeseune, at the prices named in the bid of said
bidder on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City.
SECTION 2. That the bidder above named shall be required, within fifteen
(15) days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, to
enter into a contract with the City of Costa Mesa for said work. There shall
accompany said contract a labor and material bond in a sum not less than one-half
of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract, in accordance with the
provisions of Title 1, Division 5, Chapter 3, of the Government Code, and shall
in addition file with said contract a bond securing the faithful performance of
said contract, in the penal sum of an amount not less than twenty-five per cent
(25%) of the total amount payable by the terms of said contract, said bonds
to be executed by a corporate surety satisfactory to the legislative body.
SECTION 3. In the event said contract and bonds are not executed and filed
within the time above prescribed, the bid bond or check accompanying the bid of
the aforesaid low bidder shall be forefeited to the City of Costa Mesa.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish Notice of the
award of the contract in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, said Notice to be pub-
lished once.

of the City of Costa Mesa, do hereby certify that at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, held on the 16th day of
November, 1964, the foregoing Resolution, being Resolution No. 64-119, was con-
sidered section by section, and that said Resolution was then messed and
adopted as a whole by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pinkley, Jordan, Barck, Meyers, Nilson
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
