RESOLUTION N0. 64-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF LOT 15, TRACT NO. 9, AT VICTORIA STREET AND NEWPORT AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA.
The City Council of the City
of Costa Mesa does hereby
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council
of the City of Costa Mesa
does hereby declare
its intention to vacate that certain right of way for street purposes described
as follows:
That portion of Lot 15 of Tract No. 9, in the City of Costa Mesa, County
of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in
Book 9, page 9, Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California,
more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the southerly line of Victoria Street,
50 feet wide, as shown on said map of said tract with a line that is
parallel with and distant northwesterly 165.00 feet, measured at right
angles to the southeasterly line of said Lot 15; thence along said south-
erly line of Victoria Street North 890 39' l0" West, 6o.o0 feet to the
true point of beginning, said point also being the southeasterly terminus
of that course, South 890 39' 10" East, a distance of 140.00 feet; as de-
scribed in Director's deed, recorded July 14, 1964 in book 7133, page 262,
Official Records of Orange County, California; thence South 240 30' 30"
East 39.42 feet; thence North 40 38' 10" East, 18.75 feet along a line
that is parallel with and distant therefrom northwesterly 175.00 feet,
measured at right angles, the southeasterly line of said Lot 15; thence
North 190 11' 58" West, 22.78 feet to the southerly line of said Victoria a
Street; thence along said southerly line North 890 39' 10" West, 21.07 J
feet to the true point of beginning.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 18th day of January, 1965, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber at the Costa Mesa City Rall, 695 West
19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3• The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed
to cause notice of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along
said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing.
Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart,
but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST
DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed in the City of Costa
Mesa, County of Orange, State of California.
