RESOLUTION No. 63-77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA,
ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY EOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF STATE
MOBILEHOMES AND MIBILEHOME PARRS LAW AND RELATED MATTERS.
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa intends to adopt and to became actively
engaged in the enforcement of State's Mobilehome and Mobilehome Parks Act; and
WHEREAS, the California Legislature at its 1961 Session passed Chapter 2761,
Statutes of 1961, repealing the State Trailer Park Act and adopting the State
Mobilehomes and Mobilehome Parks Law which became effective September 15, 1961; and
WHEREAS, the State Mobilehomes and Mobilehome Parks Law applies state-wide; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 18010 of the Health and Safety Cale desire to an -
force said Mobilehomes and said parks inspection and licensing program;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of Costa Mesa does assume responsibility for the
enforcement of Part 2 of Division 13 of the California Health and Safety Code and
the Rules and Regulations of the California Administrative Code, Title 8, Chapter 9,
■s Articles 2, 2.5, 3.5, 4 and 5, and other applicable laws.
LSECTION 2. That the City Planning Department shall enforce all the provisions
of said Law pertaining to the location, design, and improvement of Mobilehome,
Travel Trailer, Recreational, and Temporary Trailer Parks in the incorporated area
of the City of Costa Mesa.
SECTION 3• That the Department of Building and Safety of the City of Costa
Mesa shall enforce all the provisions pertaining to the construction, reconstruction,
alteration or modification of such parks, homes, and trailers.
SECTION 4. That the Department of Building and Safety of the City of Costa Mesa
shall enforce all the provisions pertaining to the operation, maintenance, use,
occupancy, and sanitation of such parks, homes and trailers.
SECTION 5• That the effective date of enforcement of this Resolution shall
be September 1, 1963•
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July, 1963.

section, and that said Resolution was than passed and adopted as a whole by
the following roll call vote, to wit:
