RESOLUTION No. 63-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE TAX RATE PER CENTUM AND LEVYING A
TAX UPON ALL OF THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, WHICH IS TAXABLE, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby
resolve and delegate as follows:
FIRST: RESOLVED, that there be and is hereby levied upon all the taxable
property within the City of Costa Mesa, which is taxable therein for municipal
purposes, a tax for the purpose of raising the necessary money with which to
carry on the various departments of the City of Costa Mesa for the current
fiscal year of 1963-1964, which rate is sufficient to raise the amount fixed by
Resolution No. 63-87 fixing the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary
to support the departments of the City for the current year.
SECOND: RESOLVED, that the rate per centum of the tax hereinafter levied
shall be and is hereby fixed as the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) on each One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of value designated for each find as follows:
For Current Expense Fund: $1.00.
THIRD: RESOLVED, that in addition to all other taxes hereinabove levied,
there is hereby levied on all of the taxable property within the Vehicle
Parking District No. 1 of the City of Costa Mesa, a tax of five cents (.050)
on each One Hundred (.$"100.00) Dollars assessed value of taxable land and
improvements within the District, for the purpose of the maintenance,
operation, repair and improvement of parking places in said Vehicle Parking
District No. 1 of the City of Costa Mesa.
FOURTH: RESOLVED, that in addition to all other taxes hereinabove levied,
there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property within Vehicle Parking
District No. 1 of the City of Costa Mesa, a tax of ten cents (.100) on each
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed value of taxable land and improvements
within the District, for the purpose of acquisition of additional parking
places within said District.
FIFTH: RESOLVED, that in addition to all other taxes hereinabove levied,
there is hereby levied on all of the taxable property within the Vehicle
Parking District No. 2 of the City of Costa Mesa, a tax of five cents (.050)
on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed value of taxable land and

improvements within the District, for the purpose of the maintenance, operation,
repair and improvement of parking places in said Vehicle Parking District No. 2
of the City of Costa Mesa.
SIXTH: RESOLVED, that in addition to all other taxes hereinabove levied,
there is hereby levied upon all of the taxable property within Vehicle Parking
District No. 2 of the City of Costa Mesa, a tax of ten cents (.10f) on each
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed value of taxable land and improvements
within the District, for the purpose of acquisition of additional parking
places within said District.
SEVENTH: RESOLVED, that in addition to all other taxes hereinabove levied,
it is hereby levied a special assessment tax upon all land and all improvements
within the Costa Mesa Street Lighting District of $ .20 on each $100.00
assessed value of taxable land and improvements within said District.
EIGHTH: This resolution shall take effect and be in Hill force
immediately.

NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilmen - None
