A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING RESULTS OF HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE WORK PROPOSED TO BE DONE,
OVERRULING PROTESTS, AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST,
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE WORK
PROPOSED TO BE DONE IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF SANTA ANA AVENUE
AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS, ALLEYS AND EASEMENT'S (ASSESSMENT
[ DISTRICT NO. 8).
LWHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the
17th day of July, 1961, adopt Resolution No. 863, declaring its intention N
to make changes in the work proposed to be done in the improvement of
Santa Ana Avenue and certain other streets, alleys and easements, to wit:
as set forth and described in said Resolution No. 863, and as hereinafter
set forth; and
law; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 863 was published as required by
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 863 fixed the time and place for
hearing of objections to the proposed changes for the 7th day of August,
1961; and
WHEREAS, the contractor to whom the contract was awarded for
said improvement of Santa Ana Avenue and certain other streets, alleys
and easements, to wit: the Sully -Miller Contracting Company, has filed
with the City of Costa Mesa its written consent to the proposed changes
in the work set forth in said Resolution No. 863; and
WHEREAS, the time and place so fixed for hearing was held by
the said City Council at which hearing all written protests or objections
were presented, read, and all persons desiring to be heard thereon were
heard, and no person having filed any written protests or objections,
no person desiring to be heard, the City Council having given all
persons present an opportunity to be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa,
California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 863, adopted on the 17th day
of July, 1961, has been duly and regularly published as required by law.
SECTION 2. That the Sully -Miller Contracting Company has
filed with the City Clerk its written consent to the proposed changes
as set forth in said Resolution No. 863.

CHANGE - STREET GRADE: On Santa Ana Avenue between
Stations 83 { 00 to 86 f 00 at the intersection
of Santa Ana Avenue and Brentwood Street.
1. The street grade to be changed from the grade shown on original
Sheet No. 35 of Plan No. 9, on file in the office of the City
Engineer and the City Clerk of said City, to the street grade
as shown on Amended Sheet No. 35 of said Plan. NONE
SECTION 6. That the City Council has determined from the
Engineer's estimate that the aforesaid changes in the work proposed to
be done do not increase the estimated cost by more than ten (10$)
per cent; that the amount of the estimated increase in the cost of the
work by reason of said changes is $7,534.96•
SECTION 7. That by this Resolution it is the intention of
this City Council to order the aforesaid changes of work by the
affirmative four-fifths (4/5) vote of all members present thereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1961.
