HomeMy WebLinkAbout872 - Adopting M1 Industrial StandardsRESOLUTION NO. 872 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ADOPTING INDUSTRIAL STANDARDS FOR THE Ml, INDUSTRIAL ZONE, IN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 9295.3 of the Muni- cipel Code of the City of Costa Mesa, the City is required to adopt certain industrial standards in order to promote the orderly development of M1, Industrial Zone, properties; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has approved said Industrial Standards, which are attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said industrial standards be approved, ratified, and adopted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that said industrial standards entitled: "INDUSTRIAL STANDARDS, CITY OF COSTA [ESA", attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, be, and the same are hereby, approved, ratified and adopted as the industrial standards of the City of Costa Mesa. Correction Factor. The corrections set forth in Table II shall be made when applicable. Resolution 872 Exhibit 1 OF 10 NOISE STANDARD 1. Noise Measurement Points. Noise shall be measured along each property line of the property at at least two points or at as many more points as may be determined necessary by the Planning Department. 2. Methods of Noise Measurement. Noise level shall be measured with a Sound Level Meter and an Octave Band Analyzer conforming to specifications set forth by the American Standards Association. 3. Airborne particles, including odorous gasses and other odorous matter, shall be measured at the property line or some other windward locations. 2. Method of Measurement. Airborne particles shall be measured by the Ringleman Chart. 3. Maximum Permissible Airborne Particle Level. The maximum permissible airborne particle level shall not exceed #1 on the Ringleman Chart. Resolution 872 Exhibit 7of10 STCRAGE STANDARDS A. Open Storage-- shall conform to Diagram S-1 or S-2, whichever is applicable. B. In no event shall open storage exceed the permitted height of fences. C. Dead Storage -- means storage placed in a given area for more than 14 days.
