WFERFAS, there is situated outside of and conti.ruous to the City of Costa and by assessed valuation as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange have expressed themselves as desirous of having the same annexed with the City of Costa Yesa; and Wu TEAS, it would be for the best interest of the City of Costa Mesa to annex the said hereinafter described property; and 1•'F*EFtFAS, there has been submitted on or about the 11th day of May, 1059, to the Oranre County Boundary Commission a legal description and plat of the said hereinafter described uninhabited area, for its arproval, pursuant to Section 35002 of the Government Code of the Sta*e of California; and WHEREAS, the arproval of said Oranre County Boundary Commission has been secured anc reported upon by the Boundary Com,i scion with respect to the definiteness and the certainty of the pronosed boundaries; NOW, THEREFORE, BF. IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, a City of the Sixth Class, to annex the said real prorerty as hereinafter described, which said real property is contiguous to the present boundaries of the City of Costa "esa, and which prorerty is, at the present ti -e, uninhabi.'ed. NOTTOF TS HPBERy GTVEN that is is prnposed by the City of Costa Mesa to annex the hereinafter described real prrperty to the City of Costa Fesa, which said real property shall, in these proceedines, be known as Annexation No. 20 to the City of Costa Mesa, and bear t�,e name: "Canyon Annexation." The protest shall set forth the name of t' -e owner of the property affected and give a descript'on if the property in general terms. The City Clcry of the City of Costa Piesa is herein- directed and acthorized to cause a perry nr this P.esoluti on to be pi,l.-.l shed once a week for two weeks prior to said hearinv 'n the eLCRp_AL?ALD and PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and nehl shed in the City of Costa 1'-esa, and punished in the County of Orange. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed to mail a notice of the pr -posed annexation to all persons to whom land proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last available eauali.zed assessment roll, at, the address shown thereon or as known to said City Clerk.
