HomeMy WebLinkAbout676 - Authorizing Payment of $3.00 per Consumer to CMCWD[1 RESOLUTION N0. 676 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE COSTA MESA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT OF A SUM EQUAL TO $3.00 FOR EACH CONNECTED CONSUMER IN THE CITY WATER SYSTEM. WHEREAS, the water facilities of the City of Costa Mesa were merged into and became a part of the Costa Mesa County Water District pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No. 674 of the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, passed and adopted on the 16th day of December, 1959; and WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 1375 (now known as Chapter 1377, Statutes 1959) requires the payment of a sum equal to Three Dollars ($3.00) for each connected con- sumer of the City Water System, into the General Fund of the Costa Mesa County Water District, upon the transfer of said City Water System to said Costa Mesa County Water District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the payment of said sum equal to Three Dollars ($3.00) for each connected consumer of the City Water System, to the General Fund of the Costa Mesa County'Water District, in accordance with the provisions of the aforesaid Senate Bill No. 1375 (specifically designated as Section 33244 of Part 9.1 of Division 12 of the Water Code), be, and the same is hereby, ordered and author- ized by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa.
