HomeMy WebLinkAbout678 - Lease Agreement - Identi-Kit Equipment for Police DepartmentI 1©81 RESOLUTION NO. 678 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT, DATED OCTOBER 16, 1959, BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND TOWNSEND COMPANY, IDENTI-KIT DIVISION, A PENNSYLVANIA CORPORATION, AND THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION. WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa a certain Lease Agreement by and between the Townsend Company, Identi-Kit Division, a Pennsylvania corporation, and the Cities of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach jointly, covering equipment designated in said lease agreement as "Identi-Kit, Serial Number 4-59;" and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that said Lease Agreement be approved, ratified, and confirmed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, that said Lease Agreement, dated October 16, 1959, by and between TOWNSEND COMPANY, Identi-Kit Division, as Lessor, and the CITY OF COSTA MESA and the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, jointly, as Lessee, be, and the same is hereby, approved, ratified, and confirmed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Costa Mesa are hereby directed and authorized to execute said Lease Agreement on behalf of the City.
