A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA,
REVISING THE PAY GRADES AND CLASS TITLES FOR EXECUTIVE JOB CLASSIFICATIONS
TO REFLECT THE ESTABLISHED LABOR MARKETPLACE
AND DEPARTMENTAL REORGANIZATION.
The City Council of the Cite of Costa Mesa does hereb% resolve, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. The following job classifications are hereby established and placed under the Executive Pay
Schedule at the pad grades and monthly rates of pax specified effective retroactively to August 31, 1998. The
monthly rate of pad for individual executives ntax be within the monthly minimum and maximum pay step. In
addition, for non -sworn classifications, the Cite pais the employees' 7% retirement contribution to the Public
Employees' Retirement System (PERS), and for s%%orn classifications, the City pays the employees' 9% retirement
contribution to PERS.

SECTION 2. To implement the Departmental Reorganization, the following job classifications are hereby
established, revised and/or placed under the Executive Pay Schedule at the pay grades and monthly rates of pay
specified effective June 20, 1999. The monthly rate of pay for individual executives may be within the monthly
minimum and maximum pay step. In addition, for non -sworn classifications, the City pays the employees' 7%
retirement contribution to the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS).

and compensation system will be utilized for all non -represented managers in executive job classifications.
SECTION 4. The benefit contribution level for all managers in executive job classifications will be set at 100%
of the medical premiums for the family rate at the $200 deductible, and for all other benefit plans.
SECTION 5. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
