HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-06 - Declaring its intention to order the vacation of public alleys No. 127, No. 17, and No. 4158 RESOLUTION NO. 99-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF PUBLIC ALLEYS NO. 127, NO. 17, AND NO. 4. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate its interest in Public Alley No. 127 (the right-of-way north of Joann Street, from Placentia Avenue to the end, approximately 2,260 feet westerly); Public Alley No. 17 (the right-of-way south of Bernard Street, between Harbor Boulevard and Maple Avenue); and Public Alley No. 4 (the right-of-way north of Wilson Street, between Canyon Drive and Pacific Avenue), more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 2. Monday, the 1' day of March, 1999, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strips of land for at least two (2) weeks before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall fewer than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published twice in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
