RESOLUTION NO. 714
A RESOLUTION OI' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA ESTABLISHING LEFT TURN LANES AT THE INTERSECTION
OF 19TH STREET WITH HARBOR BOULEVARD AND PROHIBITING
PARKING IN CERTAIN AREAS APPRUACHING SAID INTERSECTION.
WHEREAS, the Traffic Commission of the City of Costa Mesa has i
recommended to the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that provision til
be made for left turn lanes at the intersection of 19th Street with Har-
bor Boulevard, and further recommended that parking be eliminated at all
times in certain areas approaching said intersection; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of
the City to facilitate the movement of traffic at said intersection by
the establishment of said lanes and prohibited parking areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Costa Mesa, that the Chief of Police of said City be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to establish left -turn traffic lanes at the inter-
section of 19th Street with Harbor Boulevard, in accordance with the re-
vised Traffic Commission Plan dated March 4, 1960, which is attached here-
to and by this reference made a part of this resolution; and
BE IT FUHTHLR RESOLVED, that parking be, and the same is hereby,
prohibited at all times in the following designated areas:
On the West side of Harbor Boulevard, from a point 42 feet
North of the centerline of 19th Street to a point 116 feet
North of said centerline.
On the North side of 19th Street, from a point 38 feet West
of the centerline of Harbor Boulevard to a point 202 feet
West of said centerline.
On the North side of 19th Street, from a point 38 feet East
of the centerline of Harbor Boulevard to a point 133 feet
East of said centerline.
On the South side of 19th Street, from a point 55 feet West of
the centerline of Harbor Boulevard to a point 127 feet West of
said centerline.
On the South side of 19th Street, from a point 55 feet East of
the centerline of Harbor Boulevard to a point 130 feet East of
said centerline.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 7th day of March, 1960.
