HomeMy WebLinkAbout765 - Presidio Drive Freeway Connection - Asking Consent�z7 RESOLUTION NO. 765 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA REC"STING THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY COMMISSION TO CONSENT TO PROPOSED PRESIDIO DRIVE TEMPORARY CONNECTION TO NEWPORT FREEWAY, VII - ORA - 43 - CMSA. WHEREAS, The California Highway Commission adopted a resolution on July 20, 1944, declaring State Route 43 in the vicinity of the proposed conn- ection with Presidio Drive to be a freeway; and i WHEREAS, a freeway agreement was executed by the City and State November 25, 1958; and WHEREAS, Presidio Drive with its connection to the temporary frontage road is necessary in order to develop a subdivision tract; and WHEREAS, under the provisions of Sections 100.2 and 100.3 of the Streets and Highways Code provides that no city street, county road, or other public high- way shall open into, or connect with any freeway unless the Callfornia Highway Com- mission adopts a resolution consenting to this opening and fixes the terms and conditions under which such connections will be made: NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED that the California Highway Commission be requested to consent to a connection of the adopted route of the proposed Newport Freeway (VII -ORA -43) at Presidio Drive in the vicinity of Palisades Road to temp- orary frontage road and to grant a permit for a temporary connection to said -temp- orary frontage road. y�� y of Costa Mesa ATTEST: City Clerk of the Cit of Costa Mesa STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF ORANGE SS.
