HomeMy WebLinkAbout789 - Police Reserves - Establishing $2 per Hour RateI 1, RESOLUTION NO. 789 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF PAY FOR MEMBERS OF THE RESERVE POLICE FORCE AT $2.00 PER HOUR, EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1, 1960. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 3250-3260, inclusive, of the Municipal Code of the City of Costa Mesa, a Reserve Police Force heretofore has been created for the City of Costa Mesa; and WHEREAS, Section 2757 of said Municipal Code requires that rates of compen- sation outside the Basic Salary Schedule shall be established by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City that a rate of $2.00 per hour be established for such service rendered by members of said Reserve Police Force as is subject to compensation under the rules and regulations of the Police Department; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that members of the Reserve Police Force of the City of Costa Mesa shall be paid for service subject to compensation, as provided by the rules and regulations of the Police Department, at the rate of Two ($2.00) Dollars per hour, effective December 1, 1960.
