HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-25 - Certifying required funds are available for Bike Trail on Newport Blvd., between Arlington Drive & Fair Drive271 RESOLUTION NO. 98-25 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Bicycle Lane Account (BLA) Program is funded and administered by the State of California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the BLA Program provides $680,000.00 for fiscal year 1997-98 to local agencies for projects that improve safety and convenience for bicycle commuters; and WHEREAS, the Program requires local agencies to fund at least 10 percent of the project cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby certify the availability of the required 10 percent local share of the total project cost for rehabilitation of the bike trail on Newport Boulevard between Arlington Drive and Fair Drive. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the rehabilitation project will conform to the minimum design standards for bikeways in Chapter 1000 of the CALTRANS Highway Design Manual.
