HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-68 - Commending CALTRANS on Construction of a Maintenance Facility within the City of Costa Mesa425 RESOLUTION NO. 98-68 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING CALTRANS ON CONSTRUCTION OF A MAINTENANCE FACILITY WITHIN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Transportation (CALTRANS), completed construction of a roadway maintenance facility within the corporate limits of the City of Costa Mesa, located at the interchange of State Routes 55 and 73; and WHEREAS, it is evident that the design, color, and architecture of the new facility complements the surrounding private properties in this area, as well as being visually pleasing to motorists using the freeway system; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA welcomes CALTRANS as an important member of its community, and commends and congratulates CALTRANS on the construction of an aesthetically pleasing, yet functional facility to serve the roadway maintenance needs of the motoring public for many decades to come.
