HomeMy WebLinkAbout799 - Coleman Property - Norse Avenue - Intention to sell1303 RESOLUTION NO. 799 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT PUBLIC INTEREST AND CONVENIENCE REQUIRE THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY: DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO SELL THE PROPERTY, AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THEREON. widening Norse Street; and WHEREAS, the City has dedicated the portion of said property necessary for the widening of said Norse Street, and the hereinafter described real property is not necessary for public use; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby find that the public interest and convenience require the sale of the following described real property situated in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows, to wit: The southeasterly 80 feet of the northwesterly 330 feet of the southwesterly 155 feet of Lot 111, Tract No. 300, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 14, Page 11, Miscellaneous Maps and Records of Orange County, California; EXCEPTING THEREFROM the southeasterly 40 feet dedicated for the opening of Norse Avenue; ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the southwesterly 5 feet dedicated for the widening of Santa Isabel Avenue; ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying southerly of a curve line of 20 foot radius, concave north- erly and tangent to the northwesterly line of Norse Avenue, and tangent to the northeasterly line of Santa Isabel Ave- nue; all exceptions as recorded in Book 5510, Page 376, Official Records of Orange County, California. SECTION 2. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Monday, December 19, 1960, at the hour of seven -thirty (7:30) o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber of the City Council in the Costa Mesa City Hall, located at 695 West 19th Street, in said City, any and MAY all persons having any objections to the proposed sale^appear and show cause why said sale should not be made. Protests may be either oral or in writing. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT Monday, December 19, 1960, at the time and place above mentioned, is hereby fixed as the time when final action will be taken on said sale and that bids may be made in writing prior to said hearing, and in addition, oral bids will be received at said hearing. All persons desiring to bid on said property shall submit their bid on cash basis only. The minimum bid acceptable shall be Three Thousand Three Hundred Fifty ($3,350.00) Dollars. SECTION 3• The City Clerk shall cause this Resolution to be published at least once in the GLOBE -HERALD and PILOT, a daily newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Costa Mesa, not less than ten (10) days prior to the date set for the hearing, and shall, in addition, post in at least three (3) conspicuous places upon the real property above described, three (3) copies of this Resolution for not less than ten (10) days prior to said hearing. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 5th day of December, 1960, by the follow- ing roll -call vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEN WILSON, REA, SMITH, PINKLEY, MEYERS.
