Beeler, Jr.RESOLUTION NO. 826 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA IN RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF THE SERVICE OF WILLIAM C. BEELER, JR., TO THE CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the growth and development of the City of Costa Mesa is, and has been, faithfully recorded, encouraged, and aided by the editorial staff of the Globe -Herald and Pilot, and consistently reflected in the columns of the City's newspaper; and WHEREAS, the Globe -Herald and Pilot and the City of Costa Mesa have suffered a joint loss in the untimely death of Bill Beeler, veteran reporter; and WHEREAS, Bill Beeler was known and respected throughout the Harbor Area for the accuracy and brilliance of his writing, and beloved for the personal friendships established in the course of his newspaper work; and WHEREAS, this City Council deems it both fitting and fair that Bill Beeler's work should receive public recognition and appreciation in the City that was his home; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that its recognition and appreciation of the service of Bill Beeler to the City of Costa Mesa be entered in the permanent records of the City; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this City Council, individually and as a legislative body, extends its sincere sympathy to his family in their loss.
