HomeMy WebLinkAbout851 - Authorizing Finance Director to Issue Juke Box PermitsRESOLUTION NO. 851 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ISSUE FERNITS FOR THE INSTALLATION AND TRANSFER OF JUKE BOXES. WHEREAS, the operation of juke boxes in business establishments in the City of Costa Mesa is subject to recurrent changes in the installation and transfer of equipment; and WHEREAS, time is of the essence in many instances of such installs - tion and transfer of equipment and the proprietors thereof are placed at a disadvantage by being required to delay such installations and transfers of juke boxes pending a succeeding regular meeting of the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that the Director of Finance of said City be, and he is hereby, directed and authorized to issue permits for the installation and transfer of juke boxes subject to the approval of the Chief of Police; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Director of Finance shall Present a list of such permits issued to the City Council for ratification at its next succeeding meeting.
