A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COSTA. MESA OF INTENTION TO ANNEX A CERTAIN
UNINHABITED AREA DESIGNATED AS "KOLL ANNEXATION"
AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there is situated outside of and contiguous to the City of
Costa Mesa a certain uninhabited area as hereinafter more particularly des-
cribed; and
WHEREAS, the owners of all the land and territory by area and by
assessed valuation as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the
County of Orange have expressed themselves as desirous of having the same
annexed with the City of Costa Mesa; and
WHEREAS, it would be for the best interest of the City of Costa Mesa
to annex.the said hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, there has been submitted, on or about the 7th day of June,
1961, to the Orange County Boundary Commission, a legal description and
plat of the said hereinafter described uninhabited area, for its report,
pursuant to the provisions of Section 35002 of the Government Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, the report of the Orange County Boundary Commission has been
secured and reported upon by said Boundary Commission with respect to the
definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa, a City of the Sixth Class, to annex the said real property as
hereinafter described, which said real property is contiguous to the present
boundaries of the City of Costa Mesa, and which property is, at the present
time, uninhabited.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is proposed by the City of Costa Mesa
to annex the hereinafter described real property to the City of Costa Mesa,
which said real property shall, in these proceedings, be (mown as Annexation
No. 50 to the City of Costa Mesa, and bear the name "KOLL ANNEXATION". The
specific description of the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed
is as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the
City of Costa Mesa, California as described in the Paularino
No. 3 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, Or-
dinance No. 325, adopted October 17, 1960, said angle point
being described in said annexation as the intersection of
the Westerly line of Lot 5, Block D, Berry Tract as shown
on a map thereof, recorded in Book 9, page 6 of Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California, with a line 200.00
feet Southerly of and parallel to the North line of said
Block D; thence South 890 37' 57" East, along said parallel
line, said parallel line being the North line of said Paul-
arino No. 3 Annexation and the existing boundary of the City
of Costa Mesa, and along that course described in the Paul-
arino No. 1 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California,
Ordinance No. 283, adopted January 11, 1960, as "thence West-
erly parallel with the North line of said Berry Tract to the
West line of Lot 4, Block "D", Berry Tract," 884.63 feet, to
a point, said point being the true point of beginning of the
land herein described, said point also being on a curve, con-
cave Southwesterly, having a radius of 205.00 feet, a radial
bearing from said point bears South 450 21' 01" West; thence
departing from the existing boundary of the City of Costa
Mesa, Northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle
of 20 35' 03", an arc length of 9.25 feet; thence North 420
45' 58" East, 102. 47 feet, to a point on a curve, concave
Southwesterly, having a radius of 450.00 feet, a radial bear-
ing from said point bears South 420 45' 58" West; thence South-
easterly along said curve, through a central angle of 130 28'
07", an arc length of 105.78 feet to a point on a line 200.00
feet Southerly of and parallel to the North line of Block D.
Berry Tract, said parallel line being the existing boundary
of the City of Costa Mesa as described in Paularino No. 1
Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa, California, Ordinance
No. 283, adopted January 11, 1960, a radial bearing from said
point bears South 580 OB' 11" West; thence North 890 37' 57"
West, along said parallel line and the existing boundary of
the City of Costa Mesa, 128.78 feet to the true point of
beginning.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on the 17th day of July, 1961,
at the hour of 7:30 o'clock
p.m, on
said day, or as soon thereafter
as the
matter may be heard, in the
Council
Chamber of the City Hall of the
City
of Costa Mesa, 695 West 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California, a hearing
will be had, at which bearing the City Council shall hear and pass upon
all written protests filed at any time before said hour set for said hear-
ing by any person owning real property within the territory so proposed
to be annexed, and at any time before the said hour set for said bearing
any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file
a written protest against the annexation. The protest shall set forth the
name of the owner of the property affected and give a description of the
said property in general terms.
The City Clerk of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed and
authorized to cause a copy of this Resolution to be published once a week
for two weeks prior to said hearing in the GLOBE -HERALD and PILOT, a news-
paper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Costa
Mesa.

regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of June 1961,
