A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA
MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE CITY
ENGINEER OF SAID CITY, MADE PURSUANT TO THE REQLIRffiMM
OF RESOLUTION NO. 852 DATED JUNE 5, 1961.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
did, in a Resolution of said City Council, adopted June 5, 1961, Pursu-
ant to the provisions of the "Street Lighting Act of 1919" of the State J
of California (Part 1 of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code of
said State) as amended, require the City Engineer to male and file with
the Clerk of the City Council a report in writing, presenting certain
matters relating to a proposed lighting maintenance and service district
in said City; and
WHEREAS said City Engineer, pursuant to the requirements of said
City Council, as expressed in said Resolution, did make and on the 15th
day of June, 1961, file in the office of the City Clerk (who is ex -officio
Clerk of the City Council) of said City, hie report in writing responsive
to the requirements of said Resolution relating to the proposed lighting
maintenance and service district in said City referred to in said Resolu-
tion; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has presented the said report to the
City Council of said City, and said Council has proceeded to carefully
examine, inspect and consider the said report and is satisfied with said
report and with each and all of the items therein set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALI-
FORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the report of the City Engineer of the City of
Costa Mesa, California, bearing date the 15th day of June, 1961, which
said report was prepared and filed pursuant to the requirements of the
provisions of said Resolution of June 5, 1961, of the City Council of
said City, and in conformity with the provisions of the "Street Lighting
Act of 1919" of the State of California (Part 1 of Division 14 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the said State) as amended, and particularly
as contemplated under the provisions of Section 18041 of said law and under
the alternative procedure for installment assessments provided for in
Chapter 8 of said "Street Lighting Act of 1919," and which said report
was filed in the office of the city Clerk (who is ex -officio Clerk of
the City Council) of the City of Costa Mesa, California, on the 15th day
of June, 1960, be and the same is hereby approved as so prepared, presented
and filed. The City Council specifically approves, as prepared, presented
and filed, Section 2 of said report which includes the installation of
street lighting along the boundary line of the City and proposes to assess
the land abutting such boundary line even though the system is partially
without the boundaries of the City as provided in Section 18033 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution, shall cause the original of the same to be
entered among the original Resolutions of the City Council of said City
and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records
of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the
meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of June, 1961.
