HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-100 - Intention to Dispose of Surplus Property at 2155 State Street-262 RESOLUTION NO. 92-100 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THAT A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY AT 2155 STATE STREET IS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF SAID SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, legal authority exists for a municipal corporation to sell or dispose of surplus land and improvements for the common benefit per Government Code Sections 37350 and 37351; and WHEREAS, the subject land, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this specific reference made a part hereof, is found to be surplus real property and this method of disposition is for the common benefit; and WHEREAS, the subject land is less than 5,000 square feet in area and is exempt surplus residential land pursuant to Government Code Section 54221; and WHEREAS, the City desires to dispose of said land by selling a portion of the real property at 2155 State Street to the owners of the real property at 2159 State Street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to the aforesaid authority, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby find said land to be surplus real property and does hereby offer for sale the real property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
