HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-84 - Intention to Vacate 10 feet of Property at 1893 Orange AvenueRESOLUTION NO. 92-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF 10 FEET OF PROPERTY AT 1893 ORANGE AVENUE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby declare its intention to vacate 10 feet of property at 1893 Orange Avenue, more particularly described as follows: A portion of Lots 12, 13, and 14 of Block C, Tract 377 in the City of Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California as per map recorded in Book 16, page 16 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County described as follows: All that portion lying within a strip of land 40.0 feet Northwest from the centerline of Orange Avenue. Except that portion lying within the Southwest 19.85 feet of said Lot 12. Also except that portion lying within the Northeast 45.0 feet of said Lot 14. Also except that portion lying within a strip of land 30.0 feet Northwest from the centerline of Orange Avenue. RESERVING THEREFROM a public use easement for all existing underground and overhead public utilities, together with right of ingress and egress for the purpose of maintaining, replacing, and upgrading said existing public utilities. SECTION 2. Monday, the 2nd day of November, 1992, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. SECTION 3. These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted along said strips of land for at least two (2) weeks before the date of said hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, but in no event shall fewer than three (3) notices be posted. SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published twice in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.
