HomeMy WebLinkAbout334 - Adams Avenue - Ordering VacationF- , ,478 RESOLUTION NO. 334 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A RIGHT OF WAY FOR THE OPENING OF A PORTION OF ADAMS AVENUE IN THE. CITY OF COSTA MESA. WHEREAS, the Cite Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 4th day of Febri:ary, 1957, pass and adopt Ordinance No. 156, entitled "AN ORDIN- ANCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF CERTAIN STREETS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF COSTA MESA;" and WHE,EAS, pursuant to said Ordinance of Intention the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation was set for the 4th day of March, 1957; and WHEREAS, said Ordinance of Intention did further direct notices of the proposed street vacation to be posted as required by law, all pursuant to Sections 8300-8308, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and WHEEEAS, said date of hearing coming on regularly to be heard, and no person appearing to object to the proposed vacation of the hereinafter described street; and 1�7.17EAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds, from J all the evidence submitted, that the hereinafter described street is unnecessary* for present or prospective public street purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Ccuncil of the City of Costa Mesa does order and resolve as follows: 1. That the hereinafter described street is unnecessary for present and prospective public street purposes. 2. It is hereby ordered that the following described street be, and the same hereby is, vacated: A strip of land sixty (60) feet in width and being thirty (30) feet on each side of the following described centerline: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of Fairview Avenue (now known as Harbor Boulevard) and Myrtle Avenue (now ]mown as Adams Avenue) as shown on a map of FAIRVIEW recorded in Book 25, Pages 77 and 78, Miscellaneous Ree rds of Los Angeles County, California, and running thence from said point of beginning, North 890 34' 15' East, along the centerline of Myrtle Avenue (now known as Adams Avenue) 80.00 feet to the beginning of a curve tangent, concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 200 feet; thence, Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of hyo 00' 00", 157.08 feet to a line 479 tangent, thence, North "a 34' 15" East, along, said tangent line 190.17 feet to the beginning of a curve tangent, concave Southeasterly and having a radius of 200 feet; thence North- easterly along said curve through a central angle of 440 56' 00" 156.85 feet to a line tangent; said tangent line being the centerline of a private street designated as "6th Street% PASSED AND ADCFTED this 4th day of March, 1957.
