RESOLUTION NO. 342
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THF, CITY OF COSTA MESA ENDORSING
AND APPROVING SHORTER HOITS FOR T' -'h SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
WHEREAS, the improvement of liquor control enforcement in the State of
California is of vital importance and requires the coordinated effort of all
communities within the State; and
WHEREAS, the restriction of the sale of liquor, both on -sale and off -sale,
to the hours between 10 o'clock in the morning and midnight, has long been advocated
as a step toward better liquor control enforcement in the State; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City
that shorter hours for the sale of alcoholic beverages be established;
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED, that the limitation of the hours of sale
of alcoholic beverages to the hours between ten o'clock in the morning and midnight,
in both on -sale and off -sale establishments, be, and the same is hereby, approved,
endorsed and urged by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, and
BE IT FVRTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
the Government Organization Co:mnittee at Sacramento.
