RESOLUTION NO. 351
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA
REQUESTING THE NEWPORT MESA COUNTY WATER DISTRICT TO FURNISH
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA PLANS AND SPECIFICAT-
IONS FOR ADE017ATE AND APPROPRIATE WATER SERVICE HOUSE CONNECTIONS
AND FIRE HYDRANTS AND OTHER APPURTENANCES NECESSARY FOR THE DIS-
TRIBUTION OF DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY IN THE IMPROVEMENT KNOWN AND
DESIGNATED AS "WEST 19TH STREET AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS" IN THE
CITY OF COSTA MESA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did, on the 21st
day of January, 1957, pass Resolution No. 317 determining the nature, location and
extent of the improvement known and designated as "West 19th Street and certain
other streets" and instructing the City Engineer to prepare a written Report in
accordance with Section 2825 of the Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer did, on the let day of April, 1957, file
said Report with the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa; and
WHEREAS, said Report showed that the work proposed to be done includes
the laying of water service house connections for the distribution of domestic water
supply in the territory in which the work is contemplated; and
WHEREAS, the distribution of such domestic water supply in said terr-
WHEREAS, Sections 5170, 5171 and 5172 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California being in the "Improvement Act of.1911", under which the
proposed work is to be conducted, require the public agency having charge of the
supply and distribution of domestic water supply in the District about to be improved
to furnish the plans and specifications therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby re-
solves as follows: -
SECTION 1. The City of Costa Mesa does hereby request the Newport Mesa
County Water District, the public agency having charge of the supplying and distrib-
ution of the domestic water supply in. the District about to be improved, to -wit the
District known and designated as "West 19th Street and certain other streets", to
furnish to the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa plans and specifications for
adequateand appropriate conduits, pipes, hydrants, and other appurtenances necessary
for the proposed work, to -wit the construction of water service house connections and
relocation of fire hydrants.
