HomeMy WebLinkAbout477 - 17th Street Improvement District - Changes in Work723 RESOLUTION NO. 477 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES IN THE WORK PROPOSED T7 RE DONE: STATING THE AMOUNT OF THE ESTIMATED INCREASE OR DECREASE IN THE COST OF THE WORK BY REASON OF SAID PROPOSED CHANGES: GIVING NOTICE OF A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID PROPOSED CHANGES IN CONNECTION WITH EAST 17TH STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT. L(ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa did on the 17th day of March, 1958, adopt Resolution No. 453 ordering the work to be done pursuant to Res- olution of Intention No. Wil, adopted on the 17th day of February, 1958, for the grading, paving, and otherwise improving East 17th Street and Certain Other Streets and Alleys in said City; and WHEPEAS, the City Council of said City pronoses to order certain changes in the work proposed to be done, to wit: A. The grading, paving with plant mixed surfacing material over rock base and seal coat, construction of cement concrete cross gutter, and removing obstruct- ions, including existing pavement and appurtenant work in connection therewith; In that portion of LWESTMINSTER AVENUE as shown on Sheet No. 30 of Plan No. 7 for the Improvement of East 17th Street and Certain Other Streets and Alleys, consisting of 51 sheets, to which said plans and specifications, on file in the office of the City Clerk, are hereby referred to, and which shall govern for all details of the work. B. The installation of fire hydrants; In SANTA ANA AVEM.'E PI CE OGLE STREET KNOX STREET CAFETLLO STREET as shown on Sheets Nos. 31, 31:, 37, 38, 40 and 42 of Plan No. 7 for the Improvement of East 17th Street and Certain Other Streets and Alleys, consisting of 51 sheets, L to which said plans hereby referred to, and specifications, on file in the Office of the City Clerk, are and which shall govern for all details of said work. C. The construction of cement concrete alley apron; In THAT CERTAIN ALLEY OFF OGLE STREET BETWEEN ORANGE AVENIiE AND WESTMINSTER AVENUE as shown on Sheet No. 36 of Plan No. 7 for the Improvement of East 17th Street and Certain Other Streets and Alleys, consisting of 51 sheets, to which said plans and 724 specifications, on file in the Office of the City Clerk, are hereby referred to, and which shall govern for all details of said work. D. The extension of pavement and cross gutters; In CAMILLO STREET, TO CONNECT WITH THE EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS ON NEWPORT BOULEVARD as shown on Sheet No. G2 of Plan No. 7 for the Improvement of East 17th Street and Certain Vther Streets and Alleys, consisting of 51 sheets, to which said plans and specifications, on file in the Office of the City Clerk, are hereby referred to, and which shall govern for all details of said work. E. The elimination and deletion of the removal of existing 1811 concrete pipe storm drain over and across Lot No. 6, and the capping of said concrete pipe at both ends thereof at the property line, which said elimination of work and change in work is shown on Sheet No. 47 of Plan No. 7 for the Improvement of East 17th Street and Certain Other Streets and Alleys, consisting of 51 sheets, to which said plans and specifications, on file in the Office of the City Clark, are hereby referred to, and which shall govern for all details of said work. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve and determine as follows: SECTION 1. That the City Council proposes to make the changes in the work proposed to be done as specifically above set forth. SECTION 2. That the amount of the estimated increase or decrease in the cost of the work by reason of said proposed changes is none. SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 2nd day of June, 1958, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. (seven -thirty o'clock), in the Council Chamber of the City Council, in the Costa Mesa City Hall, located at 695 West 19th Street, in said City of Costa Mesa, is hereby set as the time and place when and where any interested persons having any objection to the changes proposed to be made may appear and show cause why said changes should not be made. SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Costa Mesa, California, shall cause this Resolution to be published once, at least ten days prior to the date of the hearing, as stated herein.
