A RESOLUTION OF TI'E CIT' COU".:CIL OF 171E CITY OF COSTA PTSA
CUI'ENDING THE CHAEFFR OF CO4T4ERCE OF THE CITY OF COSTA p'ESA
FOR ITS OUTSTANDINO ANI' CONSTRUCTIVE WORK IN BEHALF OF GOOD
CITIZENSHIP.
VEREAS, in recent weeks, through the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce
of the City. of Costa ::esa, 2120 residents of this City have been registered as
voters, and thus enabled to participate as citizens in the choice of their elect-
ive officials and the operation of their government; and
WHEREAS, the inspiration engendered by the Chamber of Co=mmerce registrat-
ion ca paign has been responsible for the registration of at least 1400 additional
new voters within the City; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems this achievement of the Chamber of Commerce
an outstanding contribution to good citizenship, and deserving of public recognition
and comendation;
NOW, TEETEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa
!less, that the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Costa bless be, and the same is
hereby, publicly corrended For its constructive work in the interest of good cit-
izenship; and
BE IT FTJTTHER RESOL'JED, that the City Clerk of the City of Costa Piesa is
hereby directed to transr.it a copy of this Resolution to the Chamber of Commerce.
PASSED AND ADCPTED, by unanimous vote this 15th day of September, 1058,
