Asking County Consent to Work855 RESOLUTTCN NO. 552 RESOLTiTION OF TI±E CITY COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF INTENTION FOR THE IVPROVE21'ENT OF WEST VIC'T'ORIA STREET AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS, ALLEYS AND EASEMENTS, AND REQ!JESTING CON- SENT OF THE COINTY OF ORANGE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMPROVEYENTS IN COUNTY TEFRITORY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, has heretofore adopted Resolution No. 516 covering the preliminary determi-nation under the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1991," determining the general nature, location and extent of the proposed work, and order- ing the preparation of a report of said improvement, in the matter of the improvement of West Victoria Street and certain other streets, alleys and easements; and WHEREAS, said City Council did heretofore adopt Resolution No. 524 approving said report and fixing a date of hearing thereon; and YIHEREAS, said hearing was duly held on December 15, 1958, and the said City Council did on said date adopt Resolution No. 542 determining results of the hearing, overruling protests, determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity require certain work or improvement substantially as set forth in the report; and WHEREAS, said City Council did on January 19, 1959, adopt Resolution No. 551 adopting plans, drawings, specifications and map of Assessment District No. 7 in the matter of the improvement of West Victoria Street and certain other alleys, streets and easements; and WHEREAS, a portion of said work proposed to be constructed is in a public easement and in Harbor Boulevard in the unincorporated territory of the County of Orange, California, to wit: the construction of a reinforced concrete pipe storm drain and appurtenances; and 1,FFREAS, no properties in the unincorporated territory of the County of Oranre are proposed to be assessed for said improvement or any part thereof; and 4h11LA5, it is necessary that the consent of the said County of Orange be obtained to the making of said improvements as contemplated by the proposed resolut- ion of intention hereinafter approved by th's resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA DIESA, CALIFORNIA, as follows: 856 SECTION 1. That the consent of the County of Orange, California, be, and the same is hereby requested for the making of the improvements described in said resolution of intention, and to the assumption of jurisdiction by this City Council for all purposes in connection with the formation of the assessment district and the maki.nc of said improvements. SECTICN 2. That the proposed resolution of intention for said improvement, submitted to this City Council, is hereby approved as to form. J SECTION j. That the City Clerk of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution and of the attached proposed resolut- ion of intention to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, California, PASSED ANL ADOPTED this loth day of January, 1959.
