A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF COSTA MESA, WITHDRAWING
FRO' THE COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY A CERTAIN
PORTION OF THE TERRITORY SITUATED WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL LI?''TS
OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA.
'HEREAS, a certain portion of the COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE
CO[INTY, ]noun and designated as "Fairlane Annexation," is within the incorporated
territory of the City of Costa Mesa; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa deems it to the best
interest and advantage of said City, and those persons residing therein, that said
portion of the said COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY lying within the
territorial limits of the City of Costa Mesa by annexation effective December 26th,
1958, be withdrawn from said COSTA MrSA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY;
NOW, THLYEFORE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California,
does hereby determine and resolve as follows:
1. That the territory hereinafter described and being a portion of the
COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, situated within the
territorial limits of the City of Costa Mesa, be and the same is
hereby withdrawn from said COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORANGE
COUNTY.
2. That said portion of said COSTA MESA LIGHTING DISTRICT OF ORARGE
COUNTY hereby withdrawn and lying within the territorial limits of
the City of Costa Mesa is herebvc escribed as follows:
That portinn of Lot 217, Newnort Heights, as shown on a
map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Rook h, Page
83, records of Orange County, California, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the City
of Costa Mesa, said point being the point of intersection
of the Northeasterly line of 20th Street, bo feet in width,
with the Northwesterly line of Tustin Avenue, 60 feet in
width; thence Southeasterly along the existing boundary
line of the City of Costa Mesa to the most Westerly corner
of Lot 1, Tract No. 2993, as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Miscellaneous Maps, Hook 87, Pace 50, records of said
Orange County; thence Northeasterly along the Northwesterly
boundary of said Tract No. 2993 to the Southwesterly line
of Lot 227 of said Newport Heights; thence Northwesterly
along the Southwesterly line of said Lot No. 227 and the
Northwesterly prolongation thereof to the Northwesterly
line of said Tustin Avenue; thence Southwesterly along the
Northwesterly line of said Tustin Avenue to the point of
beginning.

3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to send copies
of this Resolution to the State Board of Equalization, the County
Board of Supervisors, as the governing body of the COSTA MESA LIGHTING
DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, the County Assessor of the County of Orange,
and the County A ditor of the County of Orange.

NOES: Councilmen - None
ABSENT: Councilmen - Rea
