RESOLUTION NO. 317
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA DETERMINING
THE NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF THE IMPROVEMENT KNOWN AND DESIGNATED
AS WEST NINETEENTH STREET AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS, DETERMINING THE
BOUNDARIES OF THE DISTRICT TO BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED: DETERMINING THE
LAW UNDER WHICH THE PROCEEDINGS ARE TO BE CONDUCTED: AND INSTRUCTING
THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCURE THE REQTIIRED INFORMATION AND PREPARE A
WRITTEN REPORT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, pursuant to the provisions
of the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of
1931, being Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require that certain
improvements be made on certain streets and rights of way set forth in the herein-
after described plat, consisting of curbs, gutters, paving, drainage and street
lights, all as shown on plat on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. That the boundaries or extent of the District or lands to be
specially assessed to pay the cost of the proposed improvement are generally the
streets and certain rights of way described on said plat, and the general descript-
ion of said District is shown on said plat, on file in the office of the City Clerk,
and reference is hereby made thereto for all particulars as to the description of
the territory proposed to be assessed.
SECTION 3. That the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby determines
that the sum of $35,000.00 shall be contribi:ted by the City of Costa Mesa toward the
cost of said improvement.
SECTION 4. That the proceedings for the said improvement shall be con-
ducted under the Improvement Act of 1911, being Division 7 of the Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That the City Engineer is hereby instructed to procure the re-
quired information and prepare a written report and file the same with the City Coun-
oil in accordance with Section 2825 of the Streets and Highways Code; and that a
copy of this resolution be attached to said report.
