The Jit, Council of the Jity .if Josta Mesa, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 191111, being
Division 7 of the Streets .Ansi Li;zhwa,s Code if the Stste of California,
does resolve as follows:

SdCTIJN 1. That the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and it is the intention of the City Council of the Cit}- of
Jost, I:esa, California, to order tt.e followin,; work to be done on
that certain right of we,, shown and described on Plan No. 3 on file
in the office if the City Sngineer, and heretofore approved by the
City Council, and hereinafter incorporated in this Resolution by ref-
erence; said right >f way corumcnly known as Rochester Street, and by
this ResolutiJn the City Council does hereby adept the name of
"Rochester Street" f)r said right of way;

certain grading, paving; with plant mixed surfacing on a rock base,
construction of cer:ent concrete combination curb and gutter, cement
concrete curb, cement concrete crDss gutter, vitrified clay pipe
house connection sewers, galvanized iron nine water service house

moval of obstructions, including tle m)vina of existing dwelling

extending 165.05 feet northeasterly and 165.05 feet southwesterly
from the centeriine o£ Rochester Street be improved by certain

grading, paving with plant mixed surfacing on a rock base, pav-
ing with plant mixed surfacing, construction of cement cancrete
combination curb and gutter, cement c3ncrete curb, cement concrete
cross gutter and the relocation of the existing fire hydrant; that
the northeasterly one-half of

frcm the centerline of Rochester Street to be improved by certain
grading, paving with plant mixed surfacing on a rock base, paving

to be done shall be constructed upon the grades, the lines,
between the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the man-
ner sh.)wn on the plans, profiles and drawin_s for the csnstruction
of said improvements, being Plan No. 3 consisting of two sheets and
standard plans numbered 4, 7, 8, and 11 an file in the office of
the City dngineer of said City, and except as otherwise provided
on said plan, in farther accordance witi_ t2.e s;:ecifications i)r the
construction of said improvement, said specificatians being on file
in the o,fice of the Jity Jierl: )f said City and to which plan, pro-

benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay
the costs and expense theraof, and which district is described as

erly prolongation of the southwesterly, line of Lot 116 of Newport
Heights as sP.own on a map thereof recorded in Liscellaneo-s Raps,
Booi< 4, Padre 83, Records of Jrange County, California, with the cen-
ter amine of Tustin Avenue, of feet in width; thence norttnaesterly

district, being p.ap of Assessment Listrict No. 2, hereto approved
by the City Council of said City on the sixth day of December, 1954,
which n:ap is on Pile in the office of the City Clerk of said City.

file shall govern mor all detaiis as to the extent of said assess -

Said serial bonds stall extend over a period ending nine (9) years
from the second day of January next succeeding the next Jctober fif-
teenth following their date. Payments on the principal of unpaid
assessments and interest thereon shall be made by property owners
to the City Treasurer, and the same shall be disbursed by said City

Treasurer, all as provided in the "Improvement Act of 1911",
hereinafter referred to.

SEUTION 5. NJTIJE IS HEhii:IY 61VEN, that on tie third
day of January, 1955, at the hour of seven -thirty o'clock (7:30)
P.1,_, in the chambers of tie City Council in the Justice Court
Building, at 567 Joest 18th Street, of said City of Costa h.esa, any
and all pers>ns having any objections to the proposed work or im-
provement, or to the extent of t} -:e assessment district, or to the
proposed grades, may appear and show cause why said work should not
be done or carried out in accordance with this Resolution of intent-
ion. Protests must be in writing and must be delivered to the City
Clerk prior to the time set for the hearing.

SECTION 6. That all of the work herein proposed shall
be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the legislat-
ure of the State of California, designated t}.e "Improvement Act of
191111, being Division 7 of the Streets and highwa,s Code of the
State of California.

SECTIJN 7. That the "Costa 14esa Globe -Herald", a week-
ly newspaper printed, published and of general circulation in the
City of Costa Mesa, California, is hereby designated as the news-
paper in which this Resolution of Intentisn shall be published by
the City Clerk, in the manner and form provided by law, and for
making all other publications in the proceedings under tris Resolut-
ion of Intention.
The City Clerk is directed to mail notices of the adopt-
ion of this Resolution of Intention to all persons owning real proe-
arty proposed to be assessed, whose names and addresses appear on
the last equalized assessment roll for city taxes, all in the man-
ner and form provided for under Sections 5070, 5194 and 5195 of
said "Improvement Act )£ 1911" of said Streets and Highways Code.

Sli11'T1JN 8. That the Superintendent of Streets of the
City of Costa hesa shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the

line of said contemplated work or improvement, and along all open
streets within the district liable to be assessed for said work,
notices of the passage of this hesolution of Intention, in the
time, form and manner provided by said Code.
