HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-C - Rochester Street Ordering WorkHESJLUTIJN NO. 72-C RcSJLUTI),J JRD-CalNG WORK Resolved by the Cit: Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, that the public interest and convenience re- quire the work hereinafter mentioned to be done and therefore the said Cite Council hereb: orders the following work to be done J and improvements to be made in said City, tD-wit: The „Trading, paving, construction of curb and gutters, cross gutters, house connection sewers, water service house connect- ions and removal of obstructions including buildings and appurten- ances in Rochester Street between Santa 6na Avenue and Tustin Ave- nue and portions of Santa Ana Avenue and Tustin Avenue adjacent thereto all as m>re particularly described in Resolution of Int- ention No. 72-B, passed and adopted by the City Council of the said City on the sixth day of December, 1954, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 72-B and to plans, profiles and drawings for the construction of said improvements, by Plan No. 3 consisting of two sheets and standard plans numbered 4, 7, 8 and 11 on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of Costa Mesa, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore adopt- ed by the said City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles and drawings and s.,ecifications heretofore approved by the City Council of the said City are incorporated herein and made a part hereof and ref- erence is hareby made thereto for a t.Dre particulardescription of the said work. Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was in J the opinion of the City Council of ❑:Dre than local or ordinary public benefit and the said Cit;: Council has made the expenses of the said work and improvement chary;eable apon a district. For the particular description of the said assessment district reference is hereby made to the said Hesolution of Intention No. 72-B Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds to represent unpaid assess,aents anti beur,ni interest at the rate of six per cent (6f) per annum shall be issued here- under in the manner prcvided b} the "Im7)rovement Act of 1911", be- ing Division 9 of the Streets and highways Lode f the State of LCalifornia, the last installment of which; bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the second day if January next succeeding the next October 15th following their date. All the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act if the Legislature of the State of California designated the "Imnrovement Act if 1911", being Parts 1, 2, and 6 of Division g: y 3 4, 5 7 of said Streets and +�i twa s Code. The City Clerk of the said City is hereby directed to post conspicuously for ten (1C) days on or near the Chamber door of the said City Council in the manner and form required by said Code, a notice inviting sealed pro9osals or bids for doin; the work ordered and the said City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the Costa Lesa Globe -Herald, a weekly news )aper published and circulated in the said City, and is hereby desi-=,nated for that pur- pose by the City Council, a n>tice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file.
