A RESOLBTIOH OF THE CITI COUNCIL OF THE CITr OF COSTA MESA
OF INTENTION TO ANNEX, AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF
WHERPJS, there is situated outside and contiguous to the City of Costa
Mesa a certain uninhabited area as hereinafter more particularly deseribed; and
WHEREAS, the owners of over one-half of the land and the territory by
area mud by assessed valuation as shown on the last equalised assessment roll
in the County of Orange bare expressed themselves as desirous of having the gams
annexed with the City of Costa Mesa, and
WHEREAS, it would be for the best interests of the City of Costa Mesa
to annex the said hereinafter described property, and
.;� WHEREAS, there has been submitted on or about the lith day of July, 1955,
to the Orange County Boundary Commission a legal description and plat of the
said hereinafter uninhabited area, for its approval pursuant to Section 35002
of the Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the approval of said Orange County Bouadary Commission has been
secured and reported upon of the proposed boundaries;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa, a City of the Sixth Class, to annex the said real property as hereinafter
described, which said real property is contiguous to the present boundaries of
said City of Costa Mesa, and which property is, at the present time, uninhabited.
NOTICE IS BRUT GIVEN that it is proposed by the said City of Costa Mesa
to annex the hereinafter described real property to the City of Costa Mesa, which
said real property oball, in these proceedings, bear the name eFAIRVIEH BUD
ANNEXATION NO. 21'. The specific description of the boundaries of the territory
proposed to be annexed are as follows
Beginning at a point in the existing City boundary line of
the City of Costa Mesa, said point being on the West line
of Fairriew Road and 1220.21 feet South of North line of Lot A
of the Banning Tract, as shown on a sap of said Tract riled
in the Caseof Hancock Banning for Partition and being ease
No. 6385 upon the Register of Action of the Superior Court of
the State of California in and for Los Angelms County; theme
South 89 50 170 West to an intersection with a line 50.00
feet Easterly of and parallel to the centerline of Harbor
Boulevard, said point being 1220.03 feet South of said North
line of Lot A; thence Southerly alog said parallel line to the
South line of said Lot A. said point also being on the exist-
ing City boundary of the City of Costa Mesa; thence Easterly
and Northerly along the existing City boundary to the point
of beginning.
FURTHER NOTICE IS BERM GIVEN, that on the 22nd day of August, 1955, at
the hoar of 700 P.M. on said day, or as soon thereafter as thematter =7 be
heard, at the Council meeting at the Justice Court of Newport Beach Judicial District.

hearing the City Council shall hear and pass upon all written protests filed at
any time before said hour set for said hearing by any person owning real property
within the territory so proposed to be annexed, and at any time before the hour
set for said hearing any owner of property within the territory proposed to be
annexed mp file a written protest against the annexation. The protest shall
set forth thename of the owner of the property affected and give a description
of said property in general terms.
The City Clark of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby authorised and directed
to cause a copy of this Resolution to be published once a week for two weeks
prior to said hearing in the Costa Mesa Globe Herald, a newspaper of general public-
ation, published in the City of Costa Mesa, and also in the Santa dna Register,
a newspaper of general circulation published in the County at Orange and outside
the City of Costa Mesa,
The City Clerk is further authorised and directed to mail a written notice
of the proposed amueaation to all persons to whom land proposed to be annexed is
assessed in the last available equalised assessment roll at the address: shown there-
on or as known to said City Clerk.
PASSED and adopted this 18th day of July, 1955, by the following vote,
