WHEFEAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, has
adopted an operating b•..dget for the fiscal year of 1955-56, and has estimated
a sixty -cent (60¢) tax rate will fulfill the re—irements of said budget; and
WHETEAS, the. City Council of the City of Costa Mesa finds and determines
that it is vital for the proper development of the City that certain drainage
projects be made in the City of Costa Mesa to carry off water; and
VILFEAS, an addit"onal twenty -cent (20¢) tax rate, used in conjunction
with matching funds from the State of California under Chapter 20 monies, would
enable the City to carry ort such drainaee projects;
NU, TIT' FET'CFE, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
resolve as follows:
Sect/ on 1. A special fund to be known and desionatec as the "DFAINAOE
FUND" is herebh created;
Sect4on 2. One -foie th (1/4) of all monies received by the City- of Costa
Mesa Burin, the fiscal year of lOCe-1956 from prcperty tax, including unsecured
per-scral property tax, shall be placed in said "Drainage Fcnd" to be used for
dr-a�nage projects.
PASSEL and adopted this 1st day of August, 1955.
