RESOLUTION NO. 309
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA AUTHORIZING
THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR A CITY HALL SITE.
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa is the owner of certain real property
hereinafter particularly described; and
WHEREAS, Manuel Martin and Norma C. Martin, husband and wife, have entered
into a lease agreement with the City of Costa Mesa for the construction of a City Hall
upon said real property; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa deems it to be to the
advantage and in the best interests of the City of Costa Mesa that said real property
be conveyed to the said Manuel Martin and Norma C. Martin, husband and wife;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa that the said real property be conveyed to the said Manuel Martin and Norma C.
Martin, husband and wife, for a consideration in the sum of Six Thousand and N01100
Dollars W,000.00).
The property to be sold to the said Manuel Martin and Norma C. Martin is
situated in the City of Costa Mesa and described as follows:
and
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 501, as shown on a map
of Newport Mesa Tract, recorded in Book 5, page 1 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South 70 feet
along the West line of said lot, also being the East side of Pomona
Avenue, 60 feet wide, as shown on said tract; thence South 600 00,
East 78 feet to the true point of beginning of this description;
thence at right angles thereto South 300 00' West 51.83 feet; thence
at right angles thereto South 600 00' East 148.50 feet; thence at
right angles thereto North 300 001 East 177.79 feet to a point in
a line parallel with and 259.13 feet, measured at right angles East-
erly from said West lot line; thence along said parallel line North
64.16 feet to a point in a line parallel with and 40.00 feet, measured
at right angles Southerly from the center line of Nineteenth Street,
as shown on said tract map; thence along said parallel line West
148.50 feet to a point in a line parallel with and 110.63 feet, meas-
ured at right angles Easterly from said West lot line; thence along
said parallel line South 24.37 feet to a point that bears North
300 00' East a distance of 86.17 feet from the true point of begin-
ning; thence South 300 001 West 86.17 feet to said true point of
beginning;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Costa Mesa are hereby authorized to execute a Corporation Joint Tenancy Deed to
the said Manuel Martin and Norma C. Martin, on behalf of the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of January, 1957, by the following
vote, to -wit:
