A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION N0. 65-44, ADOPTED ON THE 7TH DAY OF JUNE, 1965,
IN THE MATTER OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS IN POMONA
AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, pursuant to the provisions
of the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the work hereinafter
mentioned to be done, and therefore, said City Council hereby orders the
following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City, to wit:
The grading, construction of concrete sidewalks, concrete driveway
approaches, and removal of obstructions together with appurtenances and
appurtenant work in connection therewith in Pomona Avenue and certain other
streets, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No.
65-44, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa on
the 7th day of June, 1965, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Costa Mesa.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution
of Intention No. 65-44 and to plans, drawings, specifications and map for the
construction of said improvements, being Plan No. 13 consisting of three (3)
sheets, heretofore adopted by the said city council and on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, drawings, specifica-
tions and map heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Costa
Mesa; reference is hereby made thereto fore a more particular description of
the said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated
work or improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of the City
Council, of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City
`—' Council has made the expenses of the said work or improvement chargeable upon
a district. For the particular description of the said assessment district
reference is hereby made to the said Resolution of Intention No. 65-44.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds bearing
interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum shall be issued to represent
each assessment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or more, remaining unpaid for
thirty (30) days after the date of the recordation of the warrant. Said serial
bonds shall extend over a period ending six (6) years from the second day of
January next succeeding the next September first following their date.
All the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance
of an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated the "Improvement
Act of 1911," being Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Division 7 of said Streets
and Highways Code.
The City Clerk of the said City is hereby directed to post conspicuously
for ten (10) days on or near the Chamber door of the said City Council in the
manner and form required by said Code, a notice inviting sealed proposals or
bids for doing the work ordered and the said City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish twice in the Orange Coast Daily Pilot, a daily newspaper, printed,
published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose
by the City Council, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the
said work and referring to the specifications on file.

Council, of the City of Costa Mesa, do hereby certify that at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, held
on the 6th day of July, 1965, the foregoing resolution, being Resolution
No. 65-61, was considered section by section, and that said Resolution
was then passed and adopted as a whole by the following roll call. vote:
AYES: Councilmen: Wilson, Pinkley, Barck, Jordan, Thompson
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
