RESOLUTION NO. 89-182
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO(JNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, PROHIBITING PARKING ON
A PORTION OF MONTEREY AVENUE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
STREET SWEEPING.
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Transportation Commission has recommended to
this City Council that parking be prohibited along both curbs of Monterey
Avenue between El Camino Drive and Mission Drive on Mondays from 9:00 a.m.
to 11:00 a.m. for the purpose of street sweeping; and
WHEREAS, Section 10-213 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code provides for
the designation of no -parking areas by resolution of the City Council, and
Sections 10-69(b) and 10-82 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code set forth
provisions for enforcement and obedience to Code regulations; and
WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City
that parking prohibition be authorized as recommended by the Costa Mesa
Transportation Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Costa Mesa that parking be, and the same is hereby prohibited along both
curbs of Monterey Avenue between E1 Camino Drive and Mission Drive on
Mondays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for the purpose of street sweeping.
