HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-16 - Planning Division Processing Fee Schedule4165 RESOLUTION NO. 90-16 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE PLANNING DIVISION PROCESSING FEE SCHEDULE IN REGARDS TO IAT LINE ADJUSTMENTS AND ELIMINAT- ING THE FEE TO APPEAL A ZONING ADMINISTRATOR DECISIO[q. WHEREAS, Government Code Section 54990 enables cities to charge fees for planning related services, provided that the fees do not exceed the reasonable cost of providing those services; and WHEREAS, the Planning Division Processing Fee Schedule, adopted by City Council Resolution No. 89-132, classified Lot Line Adjustments as a Minor Conditional Use Permit with a corresponding fee of $190.00; and WHEREAS, a recent amendment to Title 13 of the Costa Mesa Municipal Code establishes a senarte procedure for Lot Line Adjustmnents; therefore necessitating that Lot Line Adjustments be specifically identified in the Planning Division Procesing Fee Schedule, but with no need to charge the current fee of $190.00; and WHEREAS, the current fee for appealing a decision by the ucning kiministrator may unduly discourage such appeals whereby the applications could be heard in a puibl.ic hearing forum. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa to adopt the attached Plannii-g Division Processing Fee Schedule as amended to reflect a fee for Lot Line Mjustrrents and to eliminate the fee for appeal of a c-cision by the Zonim Administrator to the Planning Commission.
