Annexation to Park DistrictRESOLUTION NO. 66-125 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve and determine as follows: WHEREAS, a hearing was opened on the 19th day of December, 1966, and closed ■ on said day, to consider a proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and J Park District; and WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was given by publication once a week for two swcessive weeks in the ORANGE COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulat- ion circulated in the area proposed to be annexed, and in the Santa Ana Register, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the County of Orange outside the City of Costa Mesa; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council finds that it is to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the territory hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow described property be, and it is hereby ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park Dist- rict: A parcel of land lying within Lots 141 and 142, Block 6 and Lot 149, Block 5 of Irvine's Subdivision, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California and a portion of Lot 4, Tract No. 456, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 17, page 9 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California in the County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation District as said boundary is described in the Paularino No. 10 Annexation to said District, Resolution No. 65-95, adopted November 15, 19659 said angle point being the intersection of the southerly line of Tract No. 5935, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 219, pages 3 and 4 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California with the center line of Red Pill Avenue, 100.00 feet in width, as granted to the County of Orange by deed, re- corded in Book 7148, page 205 of Official Records, said angle mint also being in a curve, concave southeasterly, having a radius of 1200.00 feet at which a radial line of said curve bears North 78 29' 47" 'lest; thence North 780 29' 47" West, along, said existing boundary, 630.01 feet; thence North 640 44' 43" West, 1048.91 feet to the southeasterly line of Newport Avenue, 60 feet in width, as granted to the County of Orange by deed, recorded in Book 250, page 73 of Book of deeds; thence South 400 37' 49" West, along said southeasterly line and the existing boundary as described in an annexation to said District, Resolution No. 61-1144, adopted November 8, 1961 by the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California, 1973.20 feet to the center line of Palisades Road as shown on a map of said Tract No. 456; thence departing from said existing boundary and said southeasterly line along the center line of Palisades Road as Palisades Road is described in various deeds to the County of Orange, recorded in Official Records of Orange County in Book 294, page 272; Book 2352, pages 389 through 393 inclusive; Book 2350, pages 401 and 402, throug t%:e following described courses: South 350 24' 26" East, 517.96 feet; South 410 53' 26.1 East 1637.82 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave northeasterly, having a radius of 2000.00 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 70 28' 30", an are distance of 260.93 feet; thence South of 490 21' 56" East, 224.39 feet to the center line of previously mentioned Red Hill Avenue; thence North 400 38' 32" East along the center line of previously mentioned Red Hill Avenue, 1300.10 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave northwesterly, having a radius of 1200.00 feet; thence northeasterly and northerly along said curve through a central angle of 440 56' 03", an arc ,C7 a distance of 941.10 feet; thence :forth 40 17' 3V' West, 709.07 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave southeasterly, hevinf a radius of 1.200.00 feet; thencenortherly and northeasterly along, said curve through a central angle of 150 47' 414', an arc distance of 330.83 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinabove described annexa- tion to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District shall be and become effective concurrently with the Paularino No. 12 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa.
