HomeMy WebLinkAbout66-128 - Prohibiting Left Turn - Bristol to Northbound Freeway292 RESOLUTION N0. 66-128 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA PROHIBITING LEFT TURNS AT ALL TIMES FROM BRISTOL STREET, SOUTHBOUND, TO THE NORTHBOUND NEWPORT FREEWAY. WHEREAS, the extension of the Newport Freeway to Palisades Road has created a left -turn traffic hazard at the intersection of Bristol Street and the Newport Freeway; and WHEREAS, other approaches to the northbound Newport Freeway are avail- able to motorists using Bristol Street; and WHEREAS, the prohibition of left turns at this intersection would expedite the flow of traffic and reduce accident hazards; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa that left turns shall be, and they are hereby prohibited at all times from southbound Bristol Street to the northbound Newport Freeway.
