RESOLUTION N0. 67-62
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA
MESA RECREATION AND PARK DIS"_'RICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID
DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, a hearing was opened on the 1st day of May, 1967, and closed on
said day, to consider a proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and
Park District; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was given by publication in the ORANGE
COAST DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation circulated in the area
proposed to be annexed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this City Council finds that it is to
the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the territory
hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation
and Park District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinbelow described property
be, and it is hereby ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park
District:
A parcel of land lying within Lots 133 and 134, Block 7 of Irvine's
Subdivision in the County of Orange, State of California, as shown
on a map thereof, recorded in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, California, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park
and Recreation District as described in an annexation to said District,
Resolution No. 61-1144, adopted November 8, 1961, by the Board of
Supervisors of Orange County, California, said point being the inter-
section of the center line of Paularino Avenue, 60 feet in width, as
granted to the County of Orange by deed, recorded April 2, 1940 in
Book 1042, page 96 of Official Records of said Orange County, with the
southeasterly line of Newport Avenue, 60 feet in width, as granted to
the County of Orange by deed, recorded in Book 250, page 73 of Book
of Deeds; thence North 400 37' 45" East along said southeasterly line
and said existing boundary, 2116.48 feet to the easterly prolongation
of the northerly line of Lot 4, Berry Rancho, as shown on a map thereof,
recorded in Book 9, page 7 of Miscellaneous Records, Los Angeles
County, California; thence departing from said southeasterly line and
said existing boundary South 850 35' 15" East, 1070.52 feet to the
westerly terminus of that certain course described as "North 680 02' 08"
West, 453.49 feet" in the southerly right of way line of the San Diego
Freeway; thence South 680 02' 08" East a along said southerly right of
way line, 453.49 feet; thence South 85 26' 04" East, 119.06 feet
to the center line of Red Hill Avenue, 100.00 feet in width, as granted
to the County of Orange by deed, recorded in Book 7148, page 205 of
Official Records; thence departing from said southerly right of way
line, South 400 37' 45" West, along said center line of Red Hill Avenue,
3003.26 feet to the center line of previously mentioned Paularino
Avenue and the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Park and Recreation
District as described in the Paulaxino No. 7 Annexation to said District,
Resolution No. 65-20, adopted March 1, 1965; thence departing from said
center line of Red Hill Avenue, North 490 21' 09" West along said center
line of Paularino Avenue and said existing boundary, 1410.00 feet to
the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinabove described annexation
to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District shall be and become effective
concurrently with the Paularino No. 11 Annexation to the City of Costa Mesa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa at a
regular meeting thereof held on the lot day of May, 1967, by the following
roll call vote:

above and foregoing Resolution No. 67-62 was duly and regularly passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, acting as the supervising
authority of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District, at a regular meeting
held on the lst day of May, 1967.
