A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF LOT 5, BLOCK "C" OF THE BERRY TRACT IN T_12 CITY OF COSTA
ME=SA.
The Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa does hereby
declare its intention to vacate that certain right of way described as
follows:
That portion of Lot 5, Block "C" of the Berry Tract, in the City of
Costa Mesa, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map
thereof, recorded in Book 9, page 6 of Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, California, as deeded to said City by deed, recorded
May 5, 1965, in Book 7509, page 449 of Official Records of said County
of Orange, and being described as follows:
Being a strip of land, 60.00 feet wide, 30.00 feet on each side of
the following described line:
Beginning at the center line intersection of Cheyenne Street and
Jefferson Avenue, the center line of Jefferson Avenue also being
the west line of said Lot 5, said intersection is shown on a map
of Tract No. 4607, filed in Book 160, pages 37 and 38 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South
890 17' 05" East, 5.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave southerly and having a radius of 250.00 feet; thence 41.88
feet along the arc of said curve through a central angle of
90 35' 55" to the beginning of a reverse curve, concave northerly
and having a radius of 250.00 feet; thence 41.88 feet along the
arc of said curve through a central angle of 90 35' 55" to a tangent
line; thence South 890 17' 05" last along said tangent line, a
distance of 43.14 feet; thence South 00 42' 15' Nest, 422.98 feet.
The side lines of said strip of land to be lengthened or shortened
at the beginning and connected at the termination so as to com-
pletely enclose a parcel of land.
SECTION 2. Monday, the 7th day of August, 1967, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock, p.m., in the Council Chamber at the City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa
Mesa, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all
persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 3• These proceedings shall be conducted pursuant to the pro-
visions of Chapter II, Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California.
SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Costa Mesa is hereby directed
to cause notices of the said proposed vacation to be conspicuously posted
along said strip of land for at least ten (10) days before the date of said
hearing. Said notices shall be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet
apart, but in no event shall less than three (3) notices be posted.
SECTION 5. This Resolution shall be published once in the ORANGE COAST
DAILY PILOT, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the
City of Costa Mesa, Orange County, California.

adopted by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa at a regular meeting
held on the 17th day of July, 1967.
