HomeMy WebLinkAbout67-96 - Sunflower No. 3 Annexation to Park & Recreation DistrictREsoLuTI01r No. 67-96 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, ACTING AS THE SUPERVISING AUTHORITY OF THE COSTA MESA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT, ANNEXING TERRITORY TO SAID DISTRICT. The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, California, does hereby resolve and determine as follows: UTIERSAS, after due notice provided by law a public hearing was held before the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County on the proposed annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District known and designated as Sunflower 110. 3 Annexation; and bII1,1REAS, no one appeared to protest said annexation and the said Local. Agency Formation Cor nission, by its Resolution No. 67-29, dated June 14, 1967, directed the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District to proceed with said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council finds that it is to the benefit of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District and to the uninhabited territory hereinafter described that said territory be annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District,- BE istrict;BE IT FURTER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the hereinafter described property be, and it is hereby, ordered annexed to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District: A parcel of land lying within Section 35 and 36, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, S.B. & M., in the City of Costa !less, County of Orange, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District as said boundary is described in an annexation to said District, Resolution No. 61-1144, adopted November 8, 1961, by the Board of Supervisors of said Orange County, said point being the intersection of a line 25 feet southerly, measured at right angles, and parallel with the center line of Sunflower Avenue with a line 25 feet easterly, measured at right angles and parallel with the center line of Bear Street; thence North 890 17' 10" East along said line parallel with said center line of Sunflower Avenue and said existing boundary, 2557.67 feet to the west right of way line of the Santa Ana -Delhi Flood Control Channel. as shown on Orange County Flood Control District Map No. 1`01-5; thence departing from said existing boundary North 10 15' 48" ?lest along said west right of way line and its northerly prolonga- tion, 37.00 feet to a line 12.00 feet northerly, measured at right angles, and parallel with the center line of said Sunflower Avenue; thence South 890 17' 10" West along said parallel line, 2557.37 feet to said line parallel with said center line of Bear Street; thence South 00 48' 30" East along said parallel. line, 37.00 feet to the point of beginning. IDE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the hereinabove described annexation to the Costa Mesa Recreation and Park District shall be and become effective upon the adoption of this Resolution by the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, acting as the supervising authority of the Costa +1esa Recreation and Par's District.
